Most of us have heard of Rick Riordan. Or at least heard of his well-known and beloved ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ series and its continuation books. For those of you who don’t know about the books, it’s about a demigod with dyslexia and ADHD battling monsters and normal high school life. It has 2 continuation series, the Heroes Of and the Trials of Apollo. His writing style is first person, from Percy’s point of view in the first series and then shifts to third person, shifting from the points of view of one main character at a time. One thing we never realized is that they are not the only similarities between the book series. The color scheme of the book covers are also similar. The first book of the first series, the Lightning Thief, was released in 2005, and the last book, the Last Olympian was released in 2009.
